Profession: Right of Way Land Agent (Brandon, MB)

 

Our team is seeking a Right of Way Land Agent in Manitoba who is a self-starter and has demonstrated success in bringing a level of comfort to all parties involved during the surface acquisition process. We are looking for a team player that has a keen enthusiasm for the energy industry. The successful candidate will immediately participate in the public engagement and acquisition process on new projects, as well as provide Administrator support on current Evolve acquisition work.

 

Responsibilities include…

  • Acquire land rights and negotiate fair compensation.
  • Secure permits and approvals while complying with regulations.
  • Foster and manage relationships with landowners, communities, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage legal documents, maintain records, and ensure compliance.
  • Adhere to environmental regulations and ethical practices.
  • Willingness to support land administration duties and team, preparation of documents and third parties and supporting in client updates and data management.

What we require…

  • Valid drivers license with clean driving abstract.
  • Professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Comfortable and competent with technology-based update and project management systems (ie. Mapping/GIS , spreadsheets, emails etc.).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications including Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook.

 

What will set you apart……

  • 1-3 years of land agent and/or land analyst experience.
  • Agriculture experience and/or knowledge
  • Post-secondary education
  • Commissioner for Oaths in and for the Province of Manitoba
  • Knowledge of Teranet Manitoba
  • Knowledge of Government of Manitoba Regulations
