Evolve has the ability to support projects across multiple states/provinces across the USA and Canada.

Profession:  Junior/Intermediate Right of Way (ROW) Agents 

What we are looking for…

We’re interested in acquiring talented acquisition agents who are self-starters, committed to providing a positive and professional experience during the acquisition process. This role will primarily focus on facilitating public consultation and securing surface rights, ensuring an ethical and professional approach throughout. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, industry knowledge, and an eye for technology—particularly in terms of updating systems, summarizing information, and collaborating with project teams.

The successful candidates will support public engagement and acquisition processes across both new and ongoing projects in Evolve’s US Operations. We’re looking for Junior to intermediate professionals eager for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to build a meaningful career with an industry leader.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Assessing interest and negotiating with landowners to acquire the necessary property rights for solar, wind, collector lines, BESS and other renewable energy
  • Perform necessary research and due diligence to support acquisition of land
  • Participate in open houses and other landowner

What we require…

  • Willingness to travel to new areas and learn new industries related to Right-of-Way work.
  • Comfort and competent with technology-based update and project management systems (ie. Mapping/GIS, spreadsheets, emails etc.)
  • Familiarity in MS Office applications including Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong competencies relating to reviewing legal contracts and ability to learn new agreements supporting renewable energy projects.
  • Solution driven and ability to find common ground to support mutually beneficial agreements when presented with challenging scenarios among external stakeholders.
  • Strong consultation and negotiation skills when engaging stakeholders to facilitate land access.
  • Experienced with a variety of acquisition agreements required to secure land access.
  • Ability to organize projects and work independently for periods.
  • Professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information

 

What would set you apart…

  • 1-3 years experienced in Land Acquisition
  • Specific experience in the renewable energy field of the Right of Way industry
  • Post Secondary Education
  • Active member of the IRWA or AAPL
  • Willing to travel and spend time in project area
